The Safe Passage shelter offers survivors of domestic or sexual violence and their children 30 days of safe shelter, on-site advocacy, safety planning, food, clothing, clean bedding, and hygiene necessities 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Safe Passage not only helps survivors, they work toward reducing violence through prevention education. Safe Passage provides individual and group programs that teach ways to recognize domestic violence and how to safely intervene and help. These are just a few examples of the advocacy and support that Safe Passage delivers. As a member of the board, I am humbled by the important work that Safe Passage does in our community.
